You better believe it’s that time of the year. In between time, sort of like THE road to nowhere, but we know nowhere doesn’t exist and if it did it is really, actually fall. Fall is a nicer time of year than spring, the air is so great. If only it didn’t lead to winter. That’s the theme of this playlist: “the road between.” Perfect for a dusk drive watching the last fireflies of summer. Hope you enjoy. Thanks to juniper.berry.film for her poem.
The Last Fireflies of Summer
The last fireflies of summer –
lonely light pulses in the August night –
hover with lazy purpose over the meadow
where bumble bees slumber
on twilight-damp clover.
Cool moist air clings as high as the moon
rising in the still western sky
and as darkness overtakes the east,
summer begins to take her leave.
